MARK HAMILTON is an independent producer, director, DP, editor, and writer. His documentary work has been produced in association with CBC, TVO, Knowledge Network, VisionTV, and the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network. His films have been broadcast throughout North America and screened at film festivals across North America and Europe, including TIFF, Yorkton, New Orleans, Palm Springs, Glasgow, and Prague.
Most recently, Mark produced, directed, wrote, and was DP of the feature documentary Kappiataittut/Fearless in 2018, with a one-hour version produced for CBC in 2022. It's the twisting political story of a thirty-year-long fight for Aboriginal rights that changed the map of Canada.
Mark has been a producer and series producer of Inuktitut-language documentaries and broadcast programming in Nunatsiavut in northern Labrador, and in Nunavut in the Canadian Arctic.
Mark has also been a part-time professor of film studies at Humber College in Toronto. He has exhibited his contemporary photography at private galleries in Toronto and rural Ontario.
