INFORMATION SESSION AND VOLUNTEER CALL
(Aug. 25, 2024) This summer I walked the inner boundary of GTA's Greenbelt. For twelve days and just over 300 kilometres, I followed the boundary between rural and urban.
Why? It's part of the planning for a feature documentary called "Greenfield White Belt". Please see here for details SHOOTNG NOW.
On Sept. 7, 2024, I'll give a short talk on the concept of the film and the purpose of the walk.
This is an idea-gathering session and also a call for volunteers. You might be interested if you are:
- located somewhere in the broadly-defined White Belt, or in newly-developed areas just inside the Greenbelt line (or have roots here)
- interested in the topic of urban planning and the development of farmland and rural spaces
- interested in learning about documentary making
If you would like to volunteer, no experience is required and your time commitment is up to you. There's something for everyone to do!
Saturday, Sept. 7 from 11:00 AM to 12 NOON
